Some links on this website are affiliate links. If you click one and later buy a product or start a paid plan, Otepsphere may earn a commission. That does not change the price you pay.

What is an affiliate link?
An affiliate link is a tracked URL. The merchant or affiliate network can see that the visit came from otepsphere.com. If you then make a qualifying purchase or sign up, Otepsphere may receive a fee or a percentage of that sale.
How we mark affiliate links
Affiliate links on this site are meant to be obvious, not buried. You should see at least one of these near the link:
- An “Affiliate disclosure” note on the page
- A short “Affiliate link” label next to the button or URL

rel="sponsored"attribute on the outbound link, which tells search engines the relationship is paid
Guides that mention a paid tool still have to stand as useful advice if you never click the link. The methodology and conclusions are not rewritten to match a commission.
Current affiliate relationships
Otepsphere currently uses an affiliate link for Local Falcon, a geo-grid rank-tracking tool mentioned in some Local SEO measurement guides. Other affiliate links may be added later. When they are, they will use the same marking.
Otepsphere may also participate in affiliate networks, including Commission Factory. A network relationship does not mean every outbound link is an affiliate link. Only marked links are.
What this does not mean
- It is not a ranking guarantee, a Map Pack promise, or a paid review of Google.
- It is not an endorsement that a tool is required to do Local SEO well.
- It does not change Otepsphere’s client-service fees, which are agreed separately.
- You can ignore affiliate links and still use the free guides.
